Movie Review: Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension.

(I noticed that on Deviant Art, people have reviewed this movie in the style of internet reviewers. One did the nostalgia critic, and another did Chester A Bum. I'm doing a different one. The name of the show is Hewy's Animated Movie Reviews which i highly suggest you check out. I did this review in his style, doing all that he does in a regular review. So sit back and enjoy)

INTRODUCTION:

You know, film makers are lazy. Hard to believe i know. It seems like even back in the old days people just based their movies in books, shows, and even other movie, rather then making something original. I don't mind this, but this practice leads to the topic i want to discuss today.

Movies based off of Tv shows.

For the longest time, these have been made. They have been live action, animated, or both. These are hard to pull. Most of the live action ones are stupid and are just made for the green stuff. The animated ones are normally good, but some are just long episodes of the show. And the last one...uh, yea, those suck.

But, there is one show that has proven it can do no wrong, and thus, it was given the one Made for Tv movie that is the perfect example of how to do it right.

Released on August 5th, 2011, the movie is...

Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension.

Because this movie only recently came out, I won't spoil anything. Now, on to the review

PLOT: It's the 5th anniversary of the day Phineas and ferb adopted Perry the platypus, who has managed to keep his agent status a secret all this time. However, one day the boys crash in on his nemesis, Dr Doofenshmirtz, and his Other Dimension-inator. They fix the machine, and wind up in the 2nd dimension, in which Doof's alternate counterpart has already taken over the tri state area. But, Perry accidentally reveals his secret to his owners, which makes Phineas sad that perry has lied to them this whole. Now, they must stop Doof-2 from taking over the 1ST dimension, and solve their own conflicts as well.

What did i think of it?

BRIEF THOUGHTS:

I loved it! This is how you make a Tv show into a movie. It has fantastic Characters, and animation. With my short thoughts out of the way, let's move on to trivia time.

TRIVIA TIME:

The film, as was the show, was created by Dan Povenmire. He had previously worked on shows such as Spongebob (his episodes include the classics "The Camping Episode"), Rocko's Modern Life (episodes include the musical episode "Zanzibar"), and...Family Guy. Yes. Family Guy. He came up with the idea for the film when he wanted to do a movie of the show, and used two old episode ideas he had to make the plot of the film.

The show is Co-created by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, who had worked with Dan on some occasions. (Like in the aforementioned Rocko episode), as well as a storyboard artist on the simpsons.

A good chunk of the songs were written, composed, and sometimes song by regular composer, Danny Jacob, Martin Olson, and John Coltron Barry. The most noteworthy bring Martin, who also worked on Rocko, as well as other shows, such as Camp Lazlo.

Now let's look at the people who brought these characters to life.

VOICE ACTORS:

Phineas is voiced by Vincent Martella. You might remember him as Greg from Everybody Hates Chris. He does a great job at happy go lucky Phineas, as normal.. But in this movie, phineas shows some new emotions, and has to deal with big issues. And he just knocks it out of the park, making Phineas one of the best characters in this movie.

Ferb is voiced by Thomas Sangster, who has the easiest job, as Ferb normally only speaks once per might remember him as that kid from Love Actually. Even with that, he still does a good job. Ferb's lines in the movie are either tear jerking, our just plain funny. Good job Thomas

Candace is Voiced by Ashley Tisdale. She was in High school Musical and The Suite life of Zack and Cody. Say what you will about her, but i think she is very good at Candace. She brings that right amount of insanity to our Candace, and a great toughness to Candace-2. Candace-2, is by far the most badass thing in this movie. Plus, she does get some development in the film, but i can't spoil that,.

Dr Heinz Doofenshmirtz is voiced by...Dan Povenmire! Yes, the creator. He is just fantastic. He brings so much life to Doof, and makes him funny as ever. He also makes Doof-2 a decent villain, if still very funny. He gets the best lines, and something else i will tell later.

Other voice talents include, Kelly Hu as Candace's friend Stacy, the Co-creator Jeff as Francis Monogram, and Dee bradly baker as Perry.

As this is a disney film, it's a musical. Are the songs any good, let's look at them.

SONGS:

The opening Number is "Everything's better with Perry", which is all about how awesome Perry is. It's an obvious nod to the "Everything's better with platypi" trope, and it's sung in the style of the jackson 5. It's a great song, with an amazingly catchy beat, plus funny lyrics. It also sets the tone for the film, and the relationship between Phineas and Perry.

There was one song that was cut out of the movie, that have been put in this spot in the film. The song is on youtube, and will be on the DVD in fully animated form. "Mysterious Force", sung by Candace as she explains the force that drives a subplot in the film. It's a great song with some truly good singing and badassness. Too bad it was cut, the force is a big part of the movie. I don't see why they took it out. Eh, it doesn't matter

And what would a Disney movie be without a villain song? This one has "A Brand New Best Friend" by the two Doofenshmirtz...es. Doofi? Doof people? Whatever. This song is simply funny. It's got a great beat, and some very funny jokes. It sets up both doof's perfectly, and the last bit foreshadows what happens later on.

The third song is "Summer (Where Do we begin?)", sung by Phineas. It's a very relaxing song for the most part, and it's really cool. It's got a kickass chorus as well.

The 4th is the only song not on the soundtrack album. "I Walk Away" sung by Olivia Olson, who is the daughter of show writer/composer Martin Olson. She also voices Vanessa This is a very sad song, and it's quite the tear jerker.

In my opinion, the best song in the film is "Brand New Reality", sung by Danny Jacobs while the characters travel trough various dimensions. It's got a great beat, fantastic lyrics, and a nicely animated scene to go with it.

Way later in the film is "Robot Riot". sung by Love Handel, who are voiced by various people, most notably Jarret Riddick. Yes. Bowling for soup. Hell. Yes. This song is just plain epic win. It's just awesome, and visuals only make it better.

The last song is "Takin' Care of things", sung by Danny Jacob, from the POV of Phineas and Ferb. The placement of it is a huge spoiler. But it's very sweet, in which we see the real bond between the boys, and trust me, the visuals and the entire way they put it in the movie is just great.

There's one last song in the ending credits, "Kick it up a notch". Sung by Phineas and...Slash. SLASH. Words can describe that. And Doof-2 has a great role near the end. This song is pretty epic, though sometimes Pop-ish for my tastes.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Overall, I think Across the 2nd Dimension is a worthy film version of the show. It has great animation, catchy songs and likable characters.

SCORE: 4 and a half stars out of 5

That's the end of this rip off, bye!

Top 20 Phineas and Ferb Episodes (10-1)

(Sorry for the lateness, blogger was being a big asshole)

10. It's About Time

This, i think was the first half hour episode that ever aired, and it's great!

Okay, I'm a bit biased. I love time travel movies and that kind of stuff, but the non time travel plot is funny too.

Phineas and ferb build a time machine, which strands them and candace in dinosaur times. Meanwhile, Doof gets a new nemesis, which does not please perry.

The subplot is good. The whole is treated like...they are a couple..and Doof cheated on perry. Yes, they have so much ho yay. Lot's of...shippers, like this episode.

Damn furrys. Perry doesn't like this shit,. and neither does Phineas. ...I think, he doesn't know.

But is funny, including a song called My Nemesis. I dig it.

The main plot is funny too, like when Candace is called hardcore for simply yelling a museum. Why do i see Teens seeing her as a goddess for that?

...I smell fanfiction!

Anyway, the best part is seeing doof's full plan..

Earlier, doof had a freezeinator, which the new nemesis, peter the panda got rid of. Or did he?

Here's what doof explains:

He hired peter, so perry would get very jealous, and make them all go on a talk show, with the audience members being fellow agents. Doof will then trap them all, so he can use the real freezinator to turn them all into statues for his giant chess board.

Yes, he made a complex plan and toyed with perry's emotions.

Damn. I didn't know you had it in ya, doof. Seriously, that epic.

Sure, perry kick his ass, but that's the power of the platypus, bitch!

Anyway, this is a funny, and...strange episode. Next!

9. The Beak

God, this show has great half hour episodes!

Phineas and Ferb build a skate track, only it's...dangerous. So they make a Iron Man-ish suit to use it. But, people mistake them for a superhero. And with every hero, there is a vilain. This guy is named ...Khaka Peu Peu, voice by Ben Steller.

Yes.

Anyway, he wants to give danville the worst day ever, and the boys have to stop him, only Phineas has to lie about their hero stuff to isabella, because unlike Superman, this isn't that obvious...well to Candace it is. Speaking of which, she and Stacy become super vilains to stop Phineas and Ferb. Yes, stacy. AKA The Dan-giraffe and Dan-Gerbil. Yes, they look cute,

Meanwhile, Roger is in the middle of this, and sort of didn't sign a bill about stopping the city from bad guys, so he makes doof the mayor to make people hate him.

Wow, what an asshole.

All plots are really funny, but besides great gags, i find the isabella part a little cute.

But alot of people love this episode...for Phineas/Isabella. Not the jokes. A ship.

I hate the world.

Anyway, almost every gag works, but some stand out, like, when phineas makes a hero pun, and a so not not Dan Povenmire look alive says

"I actually thought it was pretty clever"

(Some other guy) "Yea, becuase he wrapped the thing around him"

Then, another pun is made

(Some guy guy) "You see, becuase he hit him"

"I'm not an idiot charles"

Love that. Plus, this.

(Candace) "You're my henchmen, hench or something"

"Oh no, you did not just tell me to hench"

Oh, stacy...Uh,...oh, the list.

Ahem, anyway, the best gag? Oh, it's not only the best joke in this episode.

It's the best joke in the entire show!

But...i can't spoil it. It's too good to spoil!

Anyway, this is a great funny episode that never fails to make me laugh.

8. Lights, Candace, Action!

This is a truly underrated gem of the series.

In this episode, Candace finds out they are making a movie of her favorite play, only to find out the directors are Phineas and Ferb. Meanwhile, Doof gives up evil for cheese making, only said cheese needs to age. So, he makes in inator that ages things.

This episode is just laugh out loud funny.. I mean, its just gags, over and over. Man, is it funny?

This was only episode 7, and they play with things. Candace doesn't bust, doof isn't "evil" for the most part. The writers knew we would get sick of this show, so they mixed things up for once. It's grand.

So many gags, so little time. I think the best is when they trying to get some good action shots, so they strap it to a starving monkey.

That's funny enough, but there's more!

"Okay, we put it on Ferb this time. Remember, he hasn't eaten lunch yet"

.

2 points for ferb.

Oh, and how doof ends up ruining P&F in this one is so funny, i dare not spoil it.

But i will say some other funny parts.

We see a part of the finished movie, and...it has Candace, only with a real life head on her body. Said head? Ashley Tisdale, the voice of candace. So funny.

But the ending is the best. I can't spoil it, but it's good.

In short, this is a very funny episode. Only problem? NO SONG! Other then that, good.

7. Put that putter away

You knew this would be on here.

Phineas and Ferb build a huge mini golf course. Candace can't bust, as she is sick. So she asks stacy to bust them for her.

You get it now?

Meanwhile, doof moves to a new house, but is bugged by his neighbor, phill.

This episode...is just funny. Not perfect, but great.

I'm bias, i like stacy. And she is so funny in this episode,.

But doof is great too. Best gag? Tom Sawyer. Translated into evil.

So much win.

Anyway, there are many good gags, all through, like candace's...poor penmanship. I still won't spoil the good gags.

...I've run out things to talk about...

Oh, i love the expression on linda's face when she doesn't see the gold course, trust me it's funny.

I'm glad stacy got an episode. She's funny!

Oh, and the song is about her being the...Disco Miniature golfing queen. And she is an a...navel showing outfit.

FANBOY-GASM

...Sorry. Let's...just move on

6. Dude, We're getting the band back together

Okay, the next few will be half hour, just warning you.

It's Mom and Dad's anniversary. Dad..forgot, so Phineas, Ferb, and even Candace try to help by reuniting the band that brought them together: Love Handel. Meanwhile, Doof makes a party for Vanessa's birthday.

The music makes this episode. Sure it's funny, but the music. It wins. The entire theme is music and how it affects us all.

I like music, and the songs are great. Each love Handel member has one song, and they have two together. Each one is really good. I like the finale song, You Snuck You're way Right into my heart.

Two songs realy stand out. Well 3 if you count Bobbi's song, which helps be the only truly gay Disney charector. (Who is voiced by the same guy who gave us Mr Crocker).

Those songs, are Danny's Story, and Ain't Got Rhythm. The former, is how Lead Singer, Danny, got inspired by music,. It starts out as Blues, and ends with METAAAAAAAAAAAL!

...Sorry.

Yeah, it's a really cool song. Now for Ain't Got Rhythm, this is when they find Swampy (Named after the Co-creater). He seems to have lost all sense of rhythm, but he (at the library) is stamping books in a..catchy pattern. Then the song starts. It starts simple, and ends epicly.

The credits song, Music music makes us better, sums this up perfectly. Music is win.

The actual episode is sweet too, plus Candace helps out, and busting is never mentioned. That's really sweet.

Overall, a great one

5. Phineas and ferb Get busted

Ah, the Season 1 finale. Great way to end the season.

In this episode, Candace finally busts phineas and ferb. Bet you never saw that coming. Linda and Lawrence send Phineas and ferb to A school where all imaginaion is sucked out of them. Candace finds out about the sucking out thing, so she goes to rescue them.

No doof subplot. Yep, this episode proves it doesn't need doof to be good.

In this one, we find out a few things about Candace. She really does love Phineas and Ferb. Sure, they piss her off to no end. But we all care for our siblings, even if you do piss us off. Sure, they don't build rollercoasters,. but still.

She really does love her brothers, after all. She doesn't so much as regret busting them, as regret sending them to the school.. If they were grounded for a week, it would be fine.

But...they crushed the house. Even if it wasn't by a tower, it would steal be a no-no. Also, Linda...is not a good Mom. Here, she pretty much doesn't care that her boys are smarter then anyone, even back in she's the mayor. She calls her daughter crazy, among other things. Worst. Mom. Ever.

This episode has the show's first real monster. The Sergant, voiced by Clancy Brown.

Yep, him again! He does a great job as this jerk who hates fun. I liked him.

There are some fumy gags, but this episode is all about heart, and it's cute as hell. But, there are some really nice things to mention too.

Okay, the boys are brainwashed, they are cornered at a cliff, and the boys won't build. So what does candace do?

. Candace begs them to come to their senses, telling them that, despite the way she's treated them all summer, their creativity isn't bad but, in fact, the best thing about them and she's always secretly been proud to be their big sister. She then starts to sob and cries out "What have I done? WHAT HAVE I DONE?". Slowly, Phineas blinks, then reaches forward to take the wrench from her hand. She looks up at him with tears running down her face. Phineas smiles and she smiles back.

..

What? I'm not crying. I'm just sweating trough my eyes!

Oh, and i really love the ending. But i won't spoil it for you, let me give you just a hint,

Inception, this is not

4. The best lazy day Ever

This is the last episode here for the funny factor, i swear!

Phineas and Ferb decide to do absolutely nothing for the day. Candace questions her purpose in life after realizing that she can't bust her brothers for doing nothing. Dr. Doofenshmirtz is tired of being the ugliest person around, so he invents a device that can turn anything and anyone ugly.

This episode is funny as hell. I could not stop laughing. When Jeremy's band is hit by the ugly-inator, I laughed so hard my brother got pissed.

True story.

All the plots are perfect, and I laugh everytime.

And, it does prove one thing. Candace…kinda needs phineas and ferb. She can't do anything without them. And if they are doing nothing then..who is Candace?

It's strange, but heartwarming in a strange way.

Doof's plot is the best. It has to be his best inator ever. So much fun to be had. Plus, he also has a slow motion-inator which leads to some good moments.

So for being really funny, and shedding some light, this deserves the number 4 spot.

3. Rollercoaster the musical

You know, remakes are rarely as good as the orginal. This is not.

This is….better!

The plot…is just Rollercoaster. With songs. That's all.

And it's freaking awesome!

All the things that made the original are there. The jokes mainly. This improves, by adding even more great songs themselves are great. All rock. My fave is Candace's first one, "You're Going Down"

Yes, it has Stacy in a cute outfit. Why do you ask?

Oh, and monogram sings. Sort of. It's epic. Some already good gags are made better. Like, this.

"I'll be in the diary section if you want you yell at some cheese…do you want to yell at some cheese?"

"…A little"

*Later*

Candace is yelling at cheese

"Boy, Is she mad at that cheese"

Freaking funny.

Not much else to say. Doof hasa a cool villain song, with one part being an ear-rape on the soundtrack. Said soundtrack has an EXTENDED version of You're Going Down too The last song is Carpe diem. It's…VASTLY OVERRATED!

But,. It has cameos,. Hell, almost EVERY SINGLE CHARARCTER ON THE SHOW SHOWS UP

Not kidding. Well….they leave out a few. Like Albert. Yea.

But, other than that, lots of people in this, even The Dream Sergant.

Overall, a great remake!

2. Summer Belongs to You

Yes, this is a very cliché choice. Everyone has this as their faveorite episode. Well, it's my 2nd. I am not that cliché!

But yes, this special kicks ass.

Phineas and Ferb plan to travel around the world on the longest day of the year; Linda and Lawrence leave for the weekend leaving Candace in charge. It's the summer solstice, so Phineas, Ferb, & their friends decide to travel around the world in one day in an effort to create the "Biggest, Longest, Funnest summer day of all time". But not everyone believes they can actually achieve what they've set out to do, leading them to get some encouraging words, in the form of a duet, from Clay Aiken and Chaka Khan. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz takes a father-daughter trip to Tokyo with Vanessa.

And that's just the start of it.

Tons of character development. Like, I can't even start.

First, Isabella learn 2 things. Phineas is one oblivious fuck, and that finding a way home Is more important then love.

Seriously, isabellla sings a song while stuck in paris (where is staying, which makes Candace think about their relationship) and phineas ignores him, cuz he is looking for a way out,. People are pissed phineas was stupid, but…he was looking for a way out so he can get home, and win the bet. That's a bit more important then love. Sure, he should of noticed, but still!

Also, the songs kick ass! One was cut, a song about a magical tiny bathing suit.

This show is weird.

Another Is by clay akien and chaka khan.

This show is good

Another is…a Big lipped alligator carameldansen spoof that makes no sense,.

I LOVE THIS SHOW.

The best song is sung by Baljeet's uncle, who owns a rubber band factory. Yes. Oh, and phineas goes though a depression because he couldn't make it home. He snaps out, makes A spongebob joke, and then goes home.

Oh, and then he briefly, yells at Candace to get on a trike to jump a gorge. It's small moment, meant to be funny. It is. Yet people act like he snapped and killed her! Hell, even a guy who hates P&F once told us all to calm down over it! It's not a big deal.

Oh, and Candace and Jeremy hook it up. And it's the best part. So heartwarming, and cute.

The finale song is overrated, but it works, unlike carpe diem.

Overall, this episode is funny, awesome, and heartwarming. A great combo.

And the number one phineas and Ferb episode is…

1. Nerds Of a Feather

Yes, this is one odd choice, but hear me out!

Phineas and Ferb head to sci fi convention but they end up in the middle of a war between Sci Fi fans aka Speckis, and Fantasy fans AKA finkies. Meanwhile, Candace tries to hide that she is a fan of kiddie show, duckmomo. Also meanwhile, Doof pitches his new buddy cop show to a guy. The rest of the plot is showing the show.

Where do I begin?

The Doof subplot with the show, Doof N Puss, is the best part. It is very funny, and stupid. Just the way I like it. Oh, and the guy he pitches it to? Voiced By Family Guy Creator,. Seth McFarelane.

Reallt.y Oh, and phineas and ferb talk to the guy who made the series they are fighting over. He is voiced by Kevin Smith.

Kevin. Smith. Wow

Okay, now the Candace plot. You think it's gonna be funny? Well..it is. But…;let me explain. We get a song saying that…when Candace was little, her only "friend' was ducky Momo, and her nostalgia makes her still love him today, even though everyone hates him. Oh, and she's dressed as DuckyMomo.. And she must keep her passion a secret, lest she be made fun.

Heavy.

Tell me, you are a fan of phineas and ferb, yes? Raise your hand if you are older then 15.

Thought so. We all know what it's like. The moral is to not be ashamed if you are too old to like a show/movie/book. And in the process, Candace becomes a better character. Heck, I know a girl who hated Candace. Then she saw this.

She loves her now.

Anyway, the main plot give us one lesson: Who cares if you like something different from another? If you like, say Phineas and Ferb, and someone else like Spongebob, then it's fine. Fans of things have a lot of in common, but because the difference in media, they drift apart in fight.

The show is about comedy, so laugh. Don't fight. You shouldn't be ashamed if you like something, nor should you fight. Just enjoy it. Don't worry much.

With all the shipping/fan fights that have popped up, people forgot that. This episode tells us all not to have a fandom war.

And that, is why nerds of a Feather, is the best episode.

Good bye.

Top 20 Phineas and Ferb Episodes (20-11)

Hello Spongey here.
Okay, i won't beat around the bush: Disney would good, went downhill, people freak out, I stay optimistic.
And like CN with Adventure Time and Nick with TUFF Puppy, Disney had a show that redeemed the company in people's eyes.
Yes Phineas and ferb
You all know me, i love this little show. But for those finding this and not knowing, it's about Two boys who defy all logic by building insane things such as Rollercoastes and a beach. However, their sister Candace is having none of this, so she tries to "bust" them by showing their invention to thier mom. But they always go away when she gets home. Why? Well...they have a pet platypus who is really a secret agent, and the "evil" Dr Doofenshmritz somehow ends up getting rid of the inventions by accident. Yes, it sounds weird...but it is.
Anyway, it's a funny show and i like it. But, there's over 104 episodes with summer vacation, til Disney comes along just to end. So what are the best episodes for our generation, to spend it with?
Well, since the 4th anniversary of it is coming up on the 17th, and the movie is this Friday, let's do it!
This, is the top 20 P&F episodes.
We will do 3 or so episodes a day,...well sorta, I'm typing this on 2 am Monday, but i consider it Sunday. We will be finishing up on Saturday.
Okay, starting with...
20. Candace Disconnected:
I had to put ONE season 3 episode on this list, and there's some cool ones. But i choose this out of all of them.
Why? Well let's talk.
Candace loses her 4th cell phone in 4 months, so Phineas and Ferb make a new one with cool apps...one of which accidently brings her to easter island. Thanks to Stacy. *Sigh* Stacy...
Er, what? Oh, yeah. The list...
Meanwhile, Doof makes an inator to pick up Vanessa, and finds the very first version of Norm. Voiced by Joel Mchale. Yes, him. And he is the best part of this episode! He keeps firing line after line, and it never fails to crack me up.
The main plot has seen funny stuff, like the joke about the phone's rimshot app. And the fact that we never find out what phineas and ferb really build. At all. Watch it, it's funny But, the crowning moment of funny, comes in the form of... a song!
Doof finishes picking up Vanessa and Perry shows up, and since he has no evil...he invites perry to join in his evil exercise show.
Yes...then a song. Full of crazy lyrics, freaky music, and all around random stuff. It comes right out of nowhere, has nothing to do with the plot, and after it happens, no one ever mentions it again..
BIG LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT!
Yes, this is a very funny episode with a weird song, i dig it. Next!
19. She's the mayor
This is one of the more underrated episodes of the show? Why? Well it's a spoiler, but i need to talk about it. But first, the plot
Danville has a mayor for the day Essay contest, which Candace wins. Why? They think busting her brothers is some kind of metaphor. Oh, we'll get to that later. Phineas and Ferb make a pioneer vilage, while Mrs Flynn uses her new powers to try to bust the boys. Meanwhile, Doof is stuck in a gold game with roger, so he makes an inator to make things go faster.
This episodes is REALLY funny. The best gag? Well, when they build the town, they see it has a crazy old coot who loves gold.
"If you find any gold, it's mine!"
That's just funny. Also, there's everyone thinking everything is metaphor, leading to this from candace.
"NOT EVERYTHING IS A METAPHOR!"
That is true. Everyone seems to think anything they don't get is some kind of metaphor. Oh, and Candace says that "like many before me", she loses sight on what she is meant to be doing.
...Is this poltical satire. In phineas and ferb?
...Okay.
The subplot has one gag i won't spoil. I'll say that it sadly doesn't have Bill Murray from Caddyshack.
Also, Candace changes the street names. That must of been weird.
"Hey, do you know where i can find Candace boulevard?"
"Yes, it's right of Jeremy way!"
"...What is up with this city?"
The ending? Oh yes. At the end, Candace uses her mayor powers as bit...and the boys get busted. Yes, for real. It's not a dream.
BUT, doof's inator creates a weird effect...which makes the episodes rewind back to the start. Yes, the boys get busted, but it's all hit by a reset button. Candace says it best,.
"I was robbed!"
Indeed. A lot of people were pissed that it got retconed like this. But, something makes up for it. Something changes in the timeline...the person being mayor.
"New law...if you find any gold it's mine!"
Yep, it's the coot. This made me laugh so hard. Especially this line
"Hooray for finding gold being a metaphor for...wait, i think we are supposed to take that litteraly"
Love it. This episode may have a cop out ending, but it's funny as hell. I dig it.
And it has Stacy in a secretary outfit. That's nice too
18. The Lemonade Stand
Yes, this is paired with the above episode. But, this was originally at a different spot on the list, and i moved it lower, because of the next episode being so good
This is the first episode on our list to be here for a different reason other then good jokes.
In this episode, the boys start a lemonade stand, and Candy all ready to bust, but it turns out she has something with stacy on that day, and Stacy makes candace choose between Stacy and Busting. Candace gets pissed, and break up-er i mean, de-friend Mrs Hirano. Meanwhile, Doof tries to give everyone paper cuts so they well buy his band-aids
This does have good gags, like with a man who loves lemonade aid more then Kel loves orange soda.
Plus, the end has this, when Vanessa spills lemonade on doof
"CURSE YOU PERRY THE PLATYPUS!"
"You do know he's not here, right?"
"...Yes, but i'm sure it's his fualt"
Doof does curse perry when he's not here. I love a lampshade!
The best part is the candace/stacy part. Canadace learns to not put her best friend before busting, and it's really cute. ..Especially for a yuri fan
Candace does reboot back to busting, but it's nice to know she learned her lesson this time. It's quite heartwarming, actually.
Hence why I love this episode, it's funny, but also sweet. I think these 2 are the best characters and this shows them off perfectly.
Yea...cute episode, next!
17. Let's take A quiz
The reason for me liking this is the most common one on this list: It was funny.
In this episode, Candace hears Jeremy will be on Tv, which will put him out of her league, so she joins in on P&F's new game show. Meanwhile, Doof tries to get rid of infomercials.
This has a lot of funny moments, that come at full force. I don't have much to comment on, but i shall try
The game show itself has some genius moments, including one part where Bufor tries this
"Uh...tony"
"Tony?"
"Why not?"
"..why not?"
"Yea, tony backward!"
Get it? Tony? y not? ...I gotta stop explaining the jokes.
Okay, the jokes are why i love this episode. I don't much other reason, but i find the ending cute, if predictable. But ferb's line is great.
Uh...oh, the song!
It's the theme for the game show. Short, but sweet.
The doof plot is good, plus i hate infomercials as much as he does! And it leads to a funny fight.
Plus, we get the return of a old gag, which we will talk about later.
I have little to say, but great episode, so let's move on!
16. Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet max modem
Ah, our first episode without a lot of Candace, though she does help start the plot.
In Flop Starz we learn Mom, used to be a pop star called Lindana. Word of God said the boys would learn about this. Well, here they already know, so that was a lie.
Here, Candace learns about that and gets mom into an 80's concert thingy. Lawrence, their dad is sad that he won't be at her level anymore, so the boys turn him into fake 80's star, Max Modem. Meanwhile, Doof tries to make people think he rules over a bunch of little alien dudes.
This episode is an example of taking something we learned in another one, and giving us a good plot from it. ...I have no other examples.
We also get the "full" (like half) version of "I'm Lindana and I wanna have fun". With sexy (and cute in Candace's case) background singes! The other song is "Alien heart", which is the first time We hear the singing talents of Richard O Brian. After like, a season and a half! What took them so long? Hell, in the episode "A Hard Days knight", fellow Rocky Horror actor, Tim freaking Curry lent his voice.! Why hasn't he sung?
okay, that aside, i like this episode. Linda and Lawrence have funny moments together, and the ending is cute.
15. Phineas and Ferb Christmas vacation
Ah, don't you just love christmas specials? Yes. Yes you do.
I explained this in my top 12 Christmas specials list, but let's talk again. \
In this episode, Phineas and Ferb turn the town into a giant thank you card for Santa. Meanwhile, Candace looks for the perfect gift for Jeremy, but things go wrong when Doof uses his new inator to make Santa think everyone is bad, and therefore stop Christmas from coming to Danville.
What is there to say about this other then…Awesome! Apparently, Dan And Swampy were really proud of this one, and said, and I quote "It's a really sweet, warm special that we're really proud to have our name on.". Well, that's true. It really is.
Fun Fact: This used to be my ultimate favorite P&F episode…then A bunch of other's that bumped it down my list. But it's still every bit as good, as you think it would be.
This is really heartwarming, and some part could be considered a Tear Jerker. Yes, it has some really funny moments, but also sad ones. This is just fantastic in almost every way.
I'll never think of Santa the same way again, especially when he's voiced by Clancy Brown, AKA Lex Luther, Mr. Krabs, and so forth. (And I thought Gilbert Gotfried was a questionable choice for Santa…)
Oh, and guess what? Doof doesn't hate Christmas. To him, It's So Okay It's Average. I love a good subversion!
Oh, and this has songs. 8 or so of them! All of them of are fantastic, but the 2 best are "I really don't hate christmas" and "What does he want?", the latter of which was cut out of the original airing, but put back in during Christmas of '10. I don't why they cut it. It's good.
Plus it has Stacy in a santa suit. That's nice.
I won't spoil this one for you, go watch it for yourself. It's really good.
14. Rollercoaster
The one that started it all!
This was the first episode, and the one that sold the show for me.
We all know the plot, but i'll say it anyway.
Phineas and Ferb build a rollercoaster, while Candace trys to bust them for it. Meanwhile, Doof uses his Magnetism-magnifier to reverse the rotation of the earth.
I remember when i first heard of this show. I thought the title sounded stupid, but the commercials mentioned someone a crush on at the time, so i wanted to watch it. But, that's a tale for another day.
While it does seem strange, considering what the show is like now. But this still a good episode either way. Candace is the one who stole the show for me, she just cracked me up from the start. All of it made me laugh, but Candace, and Perry, just made me know this was a good show. So thank the writers who came up with that.
I came in no knowing anyway. So you should of seen the look on my face when perry came up. It...was something to see. But, i loved it.
Sure, most of Phineas' lines are OOC now, but it's still funny!
"We should of charged more"
That's after something epic, so it's funny, i swear!
There's other gags, but we'll talk about them later. All this one lacks is a song. But it was the first episode, so it didn't need one.
So that's all, but good episode. The first time, was the charm.
13. Does this duck bill make me look fat?
Once again, i love this one becuase it is funny.
In this one, the boys builds teleporters, Candace tries to bust them, but ends up going all Freaky Friday with perry. Yes, they switch bodies. Perry, as Candace, must stop Doof from stealing all the slushy burger clown things
Oh, full explanation on the Doof part: The jingle of the giant slushy the clown thing is stuck in his head, so he tries to replace with an evil jingle. But he has no rhyme for evil,
Upheaveal
Midevil.
Just sayin'.
Funny thing, in the end credits song for the movie, Doof-2 joins in and...rhymes with evil. Guess they are different after all.
Anyway, during the credits song of THIS episode (yes, the song is in the credits), he says "Great, now i have THIS song stuck in my head". Says the person voiced by the guy who makes me say that every episode. Hell, this quote is on the Tv Trope's page for ear worm
Okay, back to the episode. It's a freaky friday flip, which i like. It's done in a funny way, and there's lot of funny little moments.
My favorites are when Perry!Candace tries to slap doof...but he has no tail, but he ends showing off her ass.
You know-for kids!
And, when carl sees Candace, he's happy to see a teenage girl..but then the fedora comes on and he's sad. Carl likes candace.
SHIPPERS, DO YOUR DUTY!
Yeah, plus the song is a spoof of the perry theme, i dig it.
Overall, this is a funny little version of the cliche body switch episode. Next!
12. Oh, There you are perry
Another heartwarming one!
In this episode, Perry is relocated to a new villain, because doof just sucks. He isn't happy. Phineas tries to find perry, and Candace thinks this is all her fault because of how she treated perry.
The vilain, is known as The Regurgiator.
"You can push him down, but he comes back up!"
He's insanely hammy, and voiced by Clancy Brown. Yes, he's Santa. Weird thought. He's pretty funny, and evil too. Hell, I used to be called The Regurgitator on the wiki. But now i am...StacyFan.
Shut up.
Anyway, we also get the return of Marty the rabbit boy and his musical blender, from Flop Starz. Yea.
It's a sweet episode. Perry learns he's better off with a pushover like doof, who actually likes him, rather then Lex Luthor here. Plus, there's some cut stuff at the end with perry, and the gang.
As for funny moments...anything with Doof, and the carl part i quoted.
The song is "Come Home perry", sung to get perry back. Candace's part is very funny, and this sells it.
"I'm gonna move to the prairie, and change my name to larry!"
"...Larry?"
"I ran out of rhymes, okay?"
That's gold.
This episode is both funny and sweet. Add a funny one shot (not counting carpe diem cameos), villain and we have a great episode.
11. One Good Scare ought to do it!
Okay, this was good enough to get on Disney Channel's top fan picked episodes. It's well deserved. Let's see why.
Isabella has the hiccups, so P&F make a haunted house to scare them out of her. Meanwhile, Candace finds out that Jeremy's little sister is an evil little bitch and also does that busting thing. Also Meanwhile, Doof helps get ride of the lair of his old Mentor Professor Destruction. Kevin to his friends.
This all leads to some of the best scenes in the show.
Also ,we have 3 songs, this candace song which is okay, but has one funny line, and the title song, which is vastly overrated. And of course, the Perry the platypus theme,. Bad. ass. But we'll talk about that some other time.
You may think i like this one becuase of the Phineas/Isabella aspect of the episode.
Hell. No. That could not be further from the truth. I like that pairing, but i couldn't care less about it. Fuck you, crazy shippers. Seriously.
I like it, becuase it's so funny. My friend, who's name will not be known, has this in his top 5 or so. It's THAT good. Imma show you some gags. Here, is when monogram guesses where doof is.
"Magical elves took him to the land of angry corn people. Or maybe he's in that lair with..a D...carved into it. Oh"
...THIS SHOULD HAPPEN IN THE MOVIE. DO IT.
Err, anyway, it's also funny to see Candace freak out over suzy. But...buford freaking it? Gold. Period.
This is one insanely funny episode, and a great half hour one.

See you next time for the top 10!

Show Review: Secret Moutain Fort awesome

Hello, spongey here.

Blah blah blah intro, move on!

We have a new CN show to talk about, let’s go!

Show Plot: When a portal our world opens and unleashes underground monsters, the creatures struggle to find equality in the human world. Said montster must hide from the humans. Also one of them looks like Krangs testiclies

First Episode: The monsters travel to another universe (yes, I know) where monsters rule over humans

Final Thoughts:

I like it./

It’s not amazing, but it’s pretty good. The animation is a good kind of surreal, and it’s nicely done.

It’s a very funny show, and it’s just fun in general somehow. The characters haven’t been fully fleshed out yet, but they are tolerable for now. I mainly like the main monster, Festro. He’s cool

I know a show with creatures who must hide from humans and like pizza sounds familiar, but it’s different in it execution in a few ways,.

I can’t say too much here, but it’s an very cool show and it’s well done. I can’t wait for more.

Grade: A-
